Neolamprologus brichardi
I attended the Eastern Iowa auction on April 16th while visiting my son in Marion, Iowa. During the auction I won a bag of 5 young Neolamprologus brichardi and a bag of vallseneria. Unfortunately, I forgot to take them when I returned to Arkansas. My son who has no experience or interest in fish keeping kept them alive in a 5 gallon bucket until he came down to Arkansas in May. I then put them in one of those plastic containers with the val and an airstone in the garage. With our surgeries and the Rocky Mountain Spotted fever, I never got around to putting them in an aquarium, so today I decided to finsih up with them. They appeared to be well fed and active, and are now sharing a tank with some albino bushynose. How can fish die during shipment but live and thrive in less than ideal surrounding for this long? If it was easy, anyone could do it!

STRESS BABY. If someone put me in a bag, stuck me in an enclosed box for 2 to 3 days, bouncing around, I'd probably croak too!

Glad they are alive. I am messing with some and want a colony someday.
