I'd love to see a lot of DIY stuff posted here, but if you are looking for a LOT of info check out cichlidforum.com. There are some DIY nutcases on there!

You might want to try http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/archive/index.php/f-21.html for DIY projects. They have about 20 pages with about 250 projects/questions on each page. The biggest problem is finding what you're looking for - it's really an information overload. Some of the questions are pretty uninformed, too, but I guess that's going to happen just about anywhere.
