I went to the Kansas City auction this weekend.
I'll have to say this was the best one yet.
I believe it was a lot more variety than the last 2 times. Not a ton of guppies as before. More angels than the last 2. A lot more livebearers. A lot more equipment.
Just a few examples of goods buys: 55 gallon aquariums went for less $50 each, 55 wood stands in great shape less than $30 each, a rebuilt Spencer blower $67, trios of German Peacocks cichlids most was $12, lots of brittslenose plecos, the list just goes on and on.
Restraint won out on my part, knowing I would have to be in town another day and chances were high for fish mortality, I didn't buy one fish, not that I didn't bid on a bunch.
I bought nice size bags of riccia, $1 each, some SMS substrate $5, air stones $2,a book which will end up in the club library I'm sure, $3 (Aquariums, How the Germans Do It by Viecke) and some other plant. A total of $19, a new low for me.
I did win a door prize, a fiber-optic castle, this may end up in the "box".
I didn't have anything auctioned off, jsut too little time to prepare.
Can't wait until the next one hopefully in November.

Re: HAAS Auction review
They are scheduled to have an auction on Saturday, November 8th. Unfortunately, that's the date of our November meeting. Somehow they are going to have to get on a different schedule if they want us to participate a lot. I think most of us will probably attend our meeting if we have to make a choice. Denny

Re: HAAS Auction review
Another meeting date? Dang, that sucks. I'd love to go but that's election month, so it's not gonna happen. Corey, I'd love that fiber optic castle. I think it's probably the same one Rick and Glenda got in St. Louis. They outbid me. I was going to get it for Johnathon.
