So it started out as my aunt seeing free koi listed on craiglist.
The woman sent her pictures and yes, they were decent looking koi.

Did I want to go get them? BWhahahahahahahaha.

So off we go.

When we get there, the is a mass of yellow water iris which has taken control of one end of the pond.
The koi would dash in under it and hide when they saw the net.

So I ask if it would be ok to try and remove some of the iris ( hehehe) and would she mind if I took some with me?

And I quote" Take anything you want, I just want it gone."
The gal has 2 kids in under 2 and was concerned about them and the pond, which was in place when they bought the house.

I said, " Would you mind if I took the whole thing?"

She said, " That would be great!"

Bwhahahahahaha.

2 high quality foot long koi
1 6 inch good quality goldfish
5 orange comets

18x12 liner
400 gph pump
2 filter set ups, each holding 20 gallons of media
several hundred pounds of yellow water iris
several water lilies
several green taro

for free.

I got free pond stuff.
She had her pond removed for no cost.

I will post the picture of the back of my van FILLED with iris this weekend.

Oh, man! Why don't I ever get great opportunities like that? Congratulations.
