Collecting trip?

Post by sumpnfishy »

I want to go collecting! Anybody up for heading to southern Arkansas before gas prices go back up? Maybe during holiday break?

Why is everyone looking at me suddenly?

You know I am good for it.

Honestly it doesn't matter, at least not to Michael and me. The water temps in southern Arkansas right now are probably in the mid sixties right now, just on a guess. At least the nets won't freeze as we take them out of the water this time. 8)

I suddenly feel really cold and my butt hurts, almost as though I've been falling down every other step.

I might be in. I'm looking to set up an Orange Throat Darter tank...

Where we are going, Orange throat darters are just a myth 8) . There will be many other types of fishes to see though.

We usually leave at an ungodly early hour of the morning, sometime around midnight, and return 24 or so hours later to our homes. My schedule is open for any weekday or weekend once school releases, which is the 19th. I know the weekend is not good for Michael, but he can ask off. How about you two, what days are good for you? We need to set a date this week so that work schedules can be adjusted with the appropriate amount of prior notice. The good news for this trip is that the alligators are pretty much all hibernating this time of year. Of course one person's good news is a dissappointment for others.

We are going to collecting in the spring and have Orangethroat Darters in abundance.
