OKAA Spring Auction?

Post by Herpchat »

We have tentatively set a date of March 28th for this.

How many would attend;

This would be held in OKC with the one in Sept being held in Tulsa.

No promises, but I would consider it if we're back in town by then (it's going to be close). How far is that? I think I'm about 3 hours from Tulsa. Denny

Oklahoma City is a considerable drive, but I will consider it especially if we work out a carpool of some sort. I will definitely make the Tulsa one in September assuming no timing conflicts.

Gonna have to pass on this one but will definitely make the fall one.

Going to Tulsa in the morning, any shops to hit besides Aquarium Oddballs and Tulsa aquatics?

Those are the best ones;

However Southern Ag is pretty good to;

I can not vouch for any of the other ones.

If we are heading that way for anything else, I will be able to make that one. But OKC is a long drive for us.

There must be some sort of conspiracy afoot. Every time I turn around, someone is scheduling things that interfere with our travels or other commitments. If anyone would be willing to take fish for me, I would help with your gas. Denny

What we could do is if none of you all could make this but want to put fish in we could arrange for someone from there to meet me half way from Tulsa and I can take in your fish and items to the auction.

Here are the finalized details:

http://okcaa.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=51333#51333

Here are some details!

Location: Cleveland County Fairgrounds auditorium, 615 E. Robinson, Norman, OK 73071.

Date: April 4th, 2009 Check in: 9:30-11am; Auction begins: 11am.

Split: The first dollar of every sale goes to OKAA. Every dollar after the first dollar is split with 80% going to the seller and 20% going to OKAA.

This is a somewhat different split than you might be used to. It is meant to encourage you to bring bigger dollar items and leave the small dollar items at home (or to combine those small dollar items into fewer, larger dollar items). In other words, bring the good stuff!

I hope to see you there!

As of right now it looks like I'm going to be off the weekend of the auction as it is my week in the rotation. I would like to go help out with the first big event so if anyone wants to go along I'd welcome the traveling companions.

Now we are talking.

Hope a bunch of you come down;

Even better would be taking Kevin's Firemouths and his other fishys.

I would love to come but already have two other events that day, and can't possible drop either of them, so looks like I'm stuck at home.
