I just noticed this thread of the post mortem from our last auction that had suggested improvements. Everyone may want to review it.

A couple of key points I noticed in it are that we were real happy with raffle items because they brought it lots of money and we got to keep 100%. I forget, are we set up for raffle items for tomorrow, with jars for the raffle tickets?
At the recent auction meeting, we talked about the colored dot system. What did we decide on that? If we decided to do it, has anyone picked up colored dots? I suggest green, yellow, and red-- like a traffic light, with green to "go" first.

Re: Auction Improvements
Unfortunately I couldn't secure any items from manufacturers or LFS for a raffle.
As far as the DOT system goes, I don't believe it neccessary for this auction. I know HAAS runs into 700 to 1000 items, I believe once we start getting ni the neighborhood of 500 items, we'll pick up this process.

Re: Auction Improvements
I think our problem with the raffle was that we didn't have anything to raffle off. Did I remember that right? Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!

Re: Auction Improvements
I suppose that, if we subtracted the money we spent on postage sending out beg letters, maybe we never actually made money on the raffle items.

I belive you're correct Mike but didn't Kenna track who gave something? Kenna? That way we only beg from previous givers.
