My name is Petra (pronounced Pay-truh) and have been in the hobby (freshwater) for about 6-7 years now. I've had an interest ever since I can remember. Growing up we owned many different animals, so you could say that had at least a little to do with my interest in the hobby

Introduction
I don't think I ever actually introduced myself, so here I am

We moved here from SE Kansas about a year ago. We wanted a nice area to raise our two boys (ages 8 and 3) and NWA suited us. I am a registered nurse (hence the handle), my husband is a sheriff deputy for Benton County. I currently have a 125 gallon and 55 gallon up and running. I enjoy cichlids, particularly Lake Malawi species (Peacocks and Mbunas) and south/central american EBJD's. Eventually I would like to establish a saltwater tank, but until then, I enjoy my cichlids
Looking forward to getting know others with the same interest!

Re: Introduction
Welcome!!
I am a newbie myself. You will find a group of knowledgeable hobbists here. I am always learning something new
from the friendly banter.
I am a retired RN and worked cardiology for almost 25 years.
We are in the process of remodeling the living room and will set up a 75 gallon with african cichlids when the
dust finally settles and paint fumes leave.

small, tenacious and exceedingly curious
