Sadly, most of the photo links in this forum are now broken, due to the gallery2 software being obsolete and incompatible with the current operating system. Eventually, we hope to replace the gallery software with something newer, and may be able to restore some of them.
Yeah, I know...this tank needs to be cleaned! Water changes are pretty frequent, but the acrylic is icky! He lost most of his fins after the ice storm in January '07, but as you can see they regenerated quite nicely!

McKelvie and I visited Roxiesmom last weekend and picked up some three-spot gourami and cories. As you can tell from the pics with the cardinals, the cories are tiny!

We moved all the fish to the 75 gallon and covered the entire tank with pillows and blankets.
We opened the doors and aimed the propane heater in for a few minutes at a time- delicate balance between freezing to death and dying of carbon monoxide poisoning.
2ltr bottles full of hot water float, sink as they cool down.
To keep us warm and entertained, we covered the entry way between the front room and the dining room with plastic (Yup, it is still up there) and listened to music on the phonograph.

Believe it or not, since I am a disaster volunteer (no, Kevin. I don't cause them, I help recover from them!) I was gone most of the time during the days, Mark and the girls took care of the heating a lot of the time.
