The ALA now has the page up for the convention this year. I plan on going. Anybody in?

I added the event to our club calendar. I might be willing to go to this one, but it's a little early to be certain. Are you planning to drive or fly?

Beautiful, sunny Detroit.
If it was easy, anyone could do it!

Drive. I'll be scraping to afford going as it is and flying complicates taking/bringing fish.

Good point. I forgot about taking fish on a plane. I was thinking maybe I'd leave early to visit family in Ohio, then go to MI for the convention. But driving works, too. The conversation on the way is always good. Anyway, I'll decide a little closer to the event.

I am always good for a road trip, but it definitely have to be a "budget friendly" trip for me.

Hmmm, I think there are some good native fish spots between here and there also.

I don't want to rush a decision on either of your parts, but I will probably begin seeking people to share rides and hotel with within the next month. If I am to go I have to be budget friendly as well so I will have to have people I know are going to go by mid February.

Michael, what kind of a timetable are you looking at, i.e. date to leave and date to come home?

I won't be going after all. Too many trips for this summer apparently.
