that sunfish looks exactly like the ones I was messing with while snorkeling in the Barron Fork Creek near Talequah Oklahoma. there were 4 males guarding territory near a branch. I knew they'd attack my fingers but I decided to test them out and was actually able to hand catch one by maneuvering my hands along both sides of the closest male to me and "clasp" around him. I was suprised I was able to do that but he got wise to me after that and kept his distance :) Kyle

Sunfish are so interesting. A couple summers ago my family and I went kayaking in the Elk River. I did something similar with the male sunnies, although I didn't try to catch them :D They have a sharp little pinch.
