Re: Fishing liscence
Any time you plan on going fishing or collecting unless I am misunderstanding the question. Arkansas is one of the few states where a fishing license is good for a full year from the date of purchase. Most states licenses expire in the spring (Missouri is on Feb. 28) and if you buy it in November it still expires the same day as if you bought it on March 1.

Or if you're asking how old you have to be, the F&G website doesn't say anything about a youth license. Their website isn't the best - I've always had problems trying to figure out what they are trying to say. It looks like you'd have to pay $10.50 to fish (or collect) for an annual Arkansas license. If it was easy, anyone could do it!

The states I've lived in usually said that if you weren't 16 (or 18), you could catch fish on your parents license. Don't know if you had to be with them or not. It doesn't mention anything about it on the F&G website. Denny

Re: Fishing liscence
from the arkansas game and fish web site--
If you are 16 or older, you must carry a valid Arkansas fishing license to take or attempt to take fish and frogs in Arkansas, unless you are fishing in a licensed "put-and-take" pay lake. Anglers 16 and older also must have a valid trout permit to keep trout or fish in certain waters. If you guide, aid or assist someone else in fishing for hire, you also must have a valid Arkansas fishing guide license. For commercial fishing license information, call 501-223-6386.

I did see that, but Evan isn't 16 yet (at least I don't think he is). I didn't see anything about the rules for younger fishermen. Denny
