Aaron and I are starting to frag our large corals so you don’t have to drop a couple bills to own a sweet coral.

we started out with jest a few but will turn One tank into a frag only tank.

we have pieces of this red favia for 20$

we also have frags of this stylocinella

and frags of these mushrooms

Hey Bobby, the pic of the green coral is a green cyphastrea. It is a great coral and grows like crazy. Although the stylophoras are cool as well.

sory I need to update the list I couldnt remember how to spell it.
Its not stylophora those are more common

its a green stylocinella.

Ahh, yes I am completely not sure, but stylocinella is another name for the cyphastrea right?

to be completely honest .........I have no idea. names always get changed so its hard to keep up with all new classifications. I jest trust the person who picks our corrals. He has never let me down yet.

but it is one of my favorites that we have in now.

I bought a little piece and its doing great.

Well here is the comment I got from a guy who has dealt with corals for about 30 yrs.
"Stylocoeniella is in the Astrocoeniidae family and Cyphastrea is in the Faviidae family. The Stylocoeniella typically has polyps that extend, similar to acros and other SPS, while the Cyphastrea has coralites and polyps more like a typical LPS."
I found this pic of Stylocoeniella and I think the polyps are bigger than the cyphastrea, more like a turbinaria.

I'm not in to arguing names but they look similar to me, only the pic we took was not with a micro lens.

I agree its a nice coral, who cares what the name is, the one I have looks about the same and grows very fast. Its also easy to propagate as well. I started a whole new colony by breaking a piece off that had grown over a feather duster tube and glued it to a plug. Its doing great. I think this is a great coral for anyone with moderate lighting.
