NWAAS 2nd Annual Fish-yard Sale

I'm planning on having another yard-sale the second Saturday in April, (yes Michael, we'll be done in time for the meeting). I know Denny has items to bring and anyone else in invited to bring their wares(fish stuff). I'll have the daughter advertise it in the Morning News. I plan on starting at 8 in the morning and going until the people stop coming. Last year we wrapped up between 2 and 3

I've already got a bunch packed. I'm thinking about bringing 6 deer burgers for lunch. Can't decide whether to bring the prius or the truck. If I'm bringing the 40 breeder, I'll probably have to bring the truck. I'm not sure if I'll mess around with any fish. It's still a little chilly for that maybe. 8 am- ? Annual Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society yard sale. Tropical fish and equipment. Located at 13 Chudleigh Lane, Belle Vista. Turn onto Kingston Rd. off 540 and go 1 mile to Chudleigh Lane. Turn right onto Chudleigh Lane.

Well I won't make it for the yard sale, wish I could but I will be doing Easter with my son. However that lets me attend your meeting Sat night.

FYI - I've had 2-3 people ask me if we were going to have tanks for sale at the garage sale. Might be a good seller if you've got extras. Corey mentioned that he has had a lot of response to the ad in the paper, too. Denny

I had hoped to make the garage sale and the meeting, but the girls are getting sick enough that either I will need to stay home to take care of them, or I will be sick too by morning.

I have just been educated by the Craigs List police. They just flagged the ad I had for the garage sale. As I started looking for the reason they might do that, I started reading the "forum" they had on flagging. Talk about being arbitrary. Some people must have way too much time on their hands. Hope they don't flag the one I've got on our meeting. It appears that they only flag when multiple people have flagged your ad, also. Denny

Mark suggested next time we sell plastic bags full of water. Anyone buying said bags gets free fish.

I understand the "No selling of animals" rule, but when most dogs on the site have a "re-homing Fee" or there are multiple animals that you may have for free if you purchase the cage, the fish sale just doesn't seem like something that should be flagged.

Spend some time on their forum for flagging, and you can see why it's based out of San Fransisco. We probably got flagged because I listed it in pets and not events. Also, we didn't have specific prices for anything. Etc, etc. I'll never feel quite the same about Craig's List from now on. Denny

Well, at least Corey had a successful yard sale (thanks to the 2 reality show sisters). Sundance and I probably wouldn't agree with that. Other than being cold early, the weather was good. I think my face now glows in the dark - it might have been cold, but the sun was sure out. We still had a good time sitting around talking and eating deer hamburgers. NWAAS bonding in action. Denny
